About Us

The Dietzel Motel is located at the edge of Fredericksburg, on over 6 acres, and only one mile from the heart of Fredericksburg with all of its attractions and events. The motel features park-like grounds with a large swimming pool, picnic tables, gazebo, and large oak trees. Guests park in front of their room for easy, convenient access. Grounds and rooms are well maintained and exceptionally clean.

Many people say we have a "retro" feel, taking them back to a simpler time.  The rooms are spacious, with vaulted ceilings and a large picture window overlooking open park-like land with seasonal wildflowers and wildlife (deer, roadrunners, wild turkeys).  The motel has been family owned and operated for over 25 years. We take great pride in the cleanliness of our rooms and strive to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Our goal is to provide you with a comfortable room at reasonable rates so that you may enjoy all the great museums, wineries, state parks, restaurants, shopping, and the unique downtown area of Fredericksburg!
